质量标准:【产品介绍】Bid, BH3 interacting domain death agonist, is
a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family of proteins
that regulate apotosis. Bid is localized to the cytosol
in an inactive precurs o r f o r m. Upon caspase-8
binding in the Fas signaling pathway, Bid is cleaved
a n d the active Bid fragment translocates to mitochondria
a n d induces cytochrome c release a n d the
resulting apoptotic cascade (1-3). Bid contains a BH3
domain which allows it to dimerize with a n d counter
the death repress o r effects of Bcl-2. BID has also
been shown to heterodimerize with Bcl-x a n d the
death agonist Bax (4).
