质量标准:【产品介绍】Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a
175 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein receptor tyrosine
kinase that, activated by epidermal growth factor
(EGF), affects cell growth and differentiation (1).
Binding of EGF or TGF alpha to EGFR activates
tyrosine kinase activity of the receptor (2). The
epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor is regulated
by EGF-stimulated autophosphorylation and by phorbol
ester-stimulated, protein kinase C (Ca2+/
phospholipid-dependent enzyme) mediated phosphorylation
at identified sites. The EGF receptor contains
additional phosphorylation sites including a
prominent phosphothreonine and several phosphoserines
which account for the majority of phosphate covalently
bound to the receptor in vivo. Analysis of
predicted secondary structure of the EGF receptor
reveals that all of the phosphorylation sites are
located near beta turns (3).

Products Data
A. Western blot analysis on A431 cell lysates
using anti-Phospho-EGFR (pT678) RabMAb
(cat. #2344-1), 1:50,000 dilution. Cells were
either (A) untreated (B) treated with EGF
B. Immunofluorescent staining of A431 cells
using anti-Phospho-EGFR RabMAb (cat. # 2344-1).
Specificity
A phospho specific peptide corresponding to
residues surrounding threonine 678 of human EGFR was used
as an immunogen. This antibody detects EGFR
phosphorylated on thr678.
