质量标准:【产品介绍】Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is a non-recept
o r protein-tyrosine kinase implicated in signaling
pathways involved in cell motility, proliferation
a n d apoptosis (1). FAK is composed of a central
catalytic domain flanked by large N- a n d
C-terminal regions. FAK is activated by phosph o r
ylation at tyrosine 397 in response to integrin
clustering which can be induced by cell adhesion
o r antibody cross-linking o r via G-protein-coupled
recept o r (GPCR) occupancy by lig a n d s such as
bombesin o r lysophosphatidic acid (2-3). Phosph o r
ylation of FAK Tyr-397 c r e a t e s a binding site
f o r Src-family kinases, a n d phosph o r ylation of
FAK Tyr-576/Tyr-577 in the kinase domain activation
loop enhances catalytic activity (4). Increased
FAK expression has been c o r related with the
enhanced motility a n d invasiveness of human tum o r
cells, as well as with promoting increased
cell proliferation (5).
