质量标准:【产品介绍】Beta actin also know as Cytoplasmic Actin is
a 43 kDa, highly conserved protein, ubiquitously
expressed in all eukaryotic cells. They comprise, along
with microtubules, a maj o r component of the
cytoskeleton. Actin has been found to be expressed in
at least six isomeric f o r ms. It is expressed in heart
a n d skeletal striated muscle tissue, a n d in
certain smooth muscle tissues, regulating
contractile potentials f o r these cells. It is
also expressed in the cytoplasm of non-muscle
cells, functioning to control cell structure a n d
motility (1). Inhibition of glycolysis with
2-deoxyglucose induced a rapid transf o r mation
of β-actin-rich pseudopodia a n d prevented cell
motility, theref o r e a localized glycolytic supply
of energy regulates the f o r mation of
β-actin-rich pseudopodial protrusions a n d thereby
the motility of invasive tum o r cells (2). β-Actin is
a relatively stable cytoskeletal protein n o r mally at
a constant level in cells, regardless of
experimental treatment o r technical procedure. F o r
this reason, measurement of β -Actin is generally used
as an internal control f o r experimental err o r .

Products Data
A. Western blot analysis on 1) T47D and 2) HeLa cell
lysate using anti- Beta Actin (Cytoplasmic) RabMAb
(Cat. # 1854-1).
B. Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded
human muscle using anti-Beta Actin (Cytoplasmic)
RabMAb (1854-1).
Specificity
A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near
the C-terminus of human Beta Actin (Cytoplasmic Actin)
was used as an immunogen.
