Quality Standard:【产品介绍】Chk1 is a serine/threonine-protein
kinase required for checkpoint mediated cell cycle arrest
in response to DNA damage or the presence of
unreplicated DNA (1). It is regulated by Atr and plays
an important role in embryonic development and
tumor suppression (2). The activated Chk1 triggers the
G2/M checkpoint, which arrests the cells in G2 to allow
them to repair their DNA (3). The inhibition of Chk1
kinase results in the abrogation of the G2/M checkpoint
and leads to cell death (3). Chk1 is activated in
response to replication blocks and genotoxic stress,
via phosphorylation of serines 317 and 345 (4).
Activated Chk1 can bind to, phosphorylate
(at serine 216), and inactivate cdc25c (4, 5).
