Quality Standard:【产品介绍】Amyloid beta A4 precursor protein-binding
family B member 1 (FE65) is a member of a family
of multidomain adaptor proteins (FE65, FE65L1, and
FE65L2) that form multiprotein complexes with a range
of functions. FE65 is highly expressed in the brain and
it has three protein-protein interaction domains:
a WW domain and two PID/PTB domains. Through the
PTB2 domain, FE65 interacts with the Alzheimer’s
disease amyloid precursor protein (APP) intracellular
domain (AICD) and can alter APP processing. The WW domain
is responsible for the interaction with various
proteins, which in turn interacts with the cytoskeleton.
The second PID/PTB domain of FE65 binds to the
transcription factor, CP2/LSF/LBP1 protein (1, 2). FE65
also plays a central role in the response to DNA damage
by translocating to the nucleus and inducing apoptosis (3).
